RICHEMENT BIERE is an adventure which began in the year of 1997 to lead to the 1 st fair i January 1998.
Richement Bière was born after the initiative taken by young Richemont Citizens. They proposed to the Richemont M.J.C. (Maison de la Jeunesse et de la Culture (House of Youngness and Culture]) to organize a small event in which they could show their collections around beers (glasses, coasers, pictures, paintings.....).So , we imagined to welcome brewers to complete this event.And then, we launched the adventure, without any knowledge about the world of beers, without any acquaintance and relationship from this trade.

It was Not so easy to convince brewers, culture services and authorities of the interest of our exhibition fair. We were very happy to meet enthusiastic people ready to help us (with a special thought for Mr Philippe VOLUER ) and brewers deciding to risk it... Finally we were very lucky to be successfull right from the start with 2500 paying entrances.
How was born RICHEMENT BIERE, first beer fair open to the public (we have to remind that the dead Eurobière in Strasbourg was only aimed at professionals). Since then, and driven by the general enthusiasm, we never stopped to bring about some improvements for our event, especially for welcoming the public, the media and the exhibitors, increasing the number of exhibitors with a good diversification, promoting better communication, establishing lasting relationship with companies, town councill, and local authorities.
10 years and 5 fairs later, the enthusiast-volunteers-organizers are still there, more an more enthusiastic, more an more motivated, more an more proud of their "baby" and able to move mountains mountains of .......HOPS !!
